Weekly Email November 23rd

Greetings!

With Thanksgiving only days away, Channukah must be right around the bend… Here are some exciting opportunities to celebrate the holiday!

Drawing on Mussar and the teachings of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, “Hannukah: Transforming Darkness into Light” will explore the spiritual potential of Hannukah for mobilizing inner resources to bring clarity and light to places of darkness, confusion and suffering both in ourselves and in the world at large. Rabbi David Jaffe will be leading this workshop. Kosher dinner will be served.

On Tuesday December 15th, the Moishe/Kavod community will once again come together for our annual Exotic Lattka Extravaganza. Have you ever tried a beet lattka? Now is your chance! To get involved with the planning or cooking, please e-mail azamansk@gmail.com. See below for additional celebrations, including Keshet’s GLBTQ-friendly 20’s and 30’s Channukah gathering (12/12).

Lastly, our thoughts and sympathies go out to Jill Lofchie and her family for the passing of her grandmother.  If you would like to send her a condolence email, please write to jill_lofchie@yahoo.com.

Until Later,

Alix, Annie, Margie, and Michelle
