Greetings!
Come join Moishe/Kavodniks at a Passover Seder that will combine tradition, creativity, and reflection. The Seder will be community led such that different guests will prepare different components of the Seder. Within the traditional framework of a full seder, we are hoping to include readings, blessings, and songs in both Hebrew and English, as well as rituals from feminist, environmentalist, and activist Seders. In addition, we will prepare for the Seder as a community, by working together to kasher the house and cook the festive meal. Unfortunately, space is limited to 20 people, so please RSVP to Sean Hogan at me@sphogan.com no later than March 21st. Please note, seats will be reserved on a first come, first served basis and may fill up before then. The Seder costs $36 and each guest is expected to contribute 2 shifts of cleaning/cooking. In the meantime, on Tue March 16th at 7:30pm this month’s genderqueer-friendly New Moon Gathering/Rosh Chodesh Circle will honor spring and the ‘other’ Jewish new year by celebrating newness and the freedom of growth. Together we will vision what fruits, seeds, and sprouting-forth this coming year brings. Please bring a new years’ treat (from any culture or none in particular) and a personal hope to share.
