Weekly Email for June 14th

Greetings!

On October 30th-31st, Limmud Boston will offer a day-long festival of Jewish learning, with workshops and presentations for all generations, and all members of the Jewish community. Based on 30 years of Limmud in the UK, LimmudBoston promises tastes of the best in Boston Jewish scholarship, arts, music and community opportunities.   We are currently looking for a representative from Moishe/Kavod House to help in planning this incredible event.   If you are interested in helping to plan Boston’s first ever Limmud event, please rsvp to msternthal@gmail.com.  More information on Limmud Boston can be found at http://www.limmudboston.org/Home_Page.html.

By the way, are you under 5’2′ and have always had dreams of playing basket-ball with people your own size?  This is your chance! There is a group of short folks interested in learning some skills and having fun – this is a totally low-key group with varying skill levels (believe me, if you’re thinking, ‘the last time I played basketball was in middle
school PE and I hated it,’ you’re not the only one!) They meet mostly in JP on Sundays, but are also open to other locations
and days depending on people’s preferences. Open to all genders and ages – the only restriction is that you must be finished growing and still be under 5’2. Please contact Moishe/Kavod member Elana at elana.brochin@gmail.com for more information!

P. S. There are 4 spaces left for Moishe/Kavod’s 3rd Annual Community Retreat on June 18-20. Register ASAP at www.kavodhouse.com/resources/community-building/summer-retreat-2010.

Until Later,
Alix, Annie, Margie, and Michelle
