Weekly Email for July 14th

Hi friends,

Summer is finally settling in and we hope you’re taking advantage of it—pretty soon we’ll reconvene the annual Moishe/Kavod House Color War. This week we have several opportunities in and relevant to creating equitable and sustainable economies and food systems.  Get involved with the emerging Economic Crisis Campaign!–Find out how you can build community and help rebuild the economy (July 28), Apply for an interesting new “$10,000 Grant for Change,” and view several new job opportunities.  Take action with our Food Justice Campaign to create a sustainable food system–Attend a screening of “The Real Dirt on Farmer John” (July 16), a DIY Composting Workshop (July 26), join a local meat CSA, and read a review from Kavod’s group screening of Food, Inc.

PS- We’re excited to be using social media such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter as points of entry for involvement, dialogue, and resource-sharing. Join us as we build our community in new and innovative ways!

Warmly,

~ Aaron, Sarah, Margie and Ben (in limbo)
