It’s time to make history! Our 1st annual Board Elections and BBQ is right around the corner (9/13/09). Come catch up with friends, eat delicious food, and determine the future direction of the Moishe/Kavod community.
In the meant time, back by popular demand, this year’s CSA Top Chef Competition will take place THIS SUNDAY (9/31/09) at Moishe/Kavod House. Join us for some friendly competition and show off your fabulous locally grown food recipes.
Have you been reading the weekly e-mails, but not yet to make it to a Moishe/Kavod event? Join us for our Newcomers’ Shabbat (9/11/09).
Lastly, whether you’ve been to one shabbat or a million and one shabbats, we’d love to have you at our upcoming Shabbat Team Meeting. We’ll be discussing our fall line-up and planning Yom Kippur Breakfast and Shabbat in the Sukkah.

P.S. We’re proud to announce that David Cygielman, Moishe House’s illustrious Executive Director, has been nominated as a Jewish Community Hero through the UJC’s (Federations of North America) website. This is exciting for many reasons. First of all, he’s totally deserving of the honor, and secondly, it’s a great opportunity for Moishe House to gain exposure. Not to mention there is some hefty prize money involved (to the tune of 25K!) – that would go right into programming for our houses. David (and Moishe House) would receive national recognition and it would propel the organization we all hold so near and dear to our hearts to the forefront of the Jewish community. But now it’s up to us – we need to VOTE! And we need to tell our friends, colleagues, and families to do so as well. Please click here to learn more and to cast your vote.
