Moishe/Kavod House is committed to workers rights in Boston. Each year, we help plan the citywide Labor Seder, which brings together workers, labor leaders, and Jewish community members to remember our own legacy of slavery in Egypt and rededicate ourselves to working for freedom and worker justice in every age.
We also work in solidarity with the many unions in Boston for key events, especially when worker mistreatment involves the Jewish community. For example, when workers from a cleaning company that serves many Brookline synagogues filed sexual assault charges, Moishe/Kavod House came out in force to speak out against the company and support the workers. We also work regularly with MA Interfaith Committee For Worker Justice, which helps us join other faith communities to support workers.
