Current Programs

Moishe/Kavod House Programming is based around four ‘pillars’ or programming areas, each led by its own independent leadership team.

The four pillars are:

Shabbat, New Moon and Holidays
Social Justice
Learning
and the Arts

Shabbat and Holidays Team

Want to help coordinate our bi-monthly Shabbatot, or simply contribute to the good vibe we try to create? Interested in making our holiday celebrations even better? Then join the Shabbat and Holidays Team – simply email Margie at margieklein1@gmail.com to get involved.

Social Justice Team

Are you passionate about the environment? Workers’ rights? Affordable housing? Food justice? Service? If so, Moishe/Kavod’s Social Justice Team connects like-minded activists and helps them work towards their vision of a better world together, in partnership with our community allies. Interested? Contact Ben at benjaminghealey@gmail.com.

Learning Team

From a weekly Beit Midrash to classes on Radical Judaism, the Moishe/Kavod House seeks to provide opportunities for learning for folks of diverse Jewish (and non-Jewish) backgrounds. Contact Aaron @ abdesatnik@gmail.com to learn more.

Arts Team

Creativity and free expression are cornerstones of the Moishe/Kavod experience. Yoga sessions, prayer-flag making, stitch ‘n bitch afternoons, skill-sharing, art shows…the list goes on and on. If you’d like to help be a part of the artistic community we’re building, or just learn what’s going on, email Sarah at sarahgershuny@gmail.com.
