Transition Team Meeting #2 3.22.09
March 30th, 2009 | Homepage Featured Event
At this meeting we focused on 2 topics, the housemate role and selection process (see previous post and updated Housemate Application page), and the process of communication, getting feedback and making decisions. Below is Jeff Cohen’s summary:
One of the issues the Transition Team has discussed in its early stages is how to communicate with the rest of the community. Our present thought is that before each meeting, we’ll announce the agenda for that meeting in this blog. Along with each item to be discussed will be the name of a person you can contact with your opinions on that issue. We’ll discuss whatever ideas you have at the meeting, and post our tentative decision to the blog. We’ll finalize decisions at the next meeting, thereby giving all of you another chance for feedback between meetings.
Of course, the Transition Team is a volunteer group, and anyone who wants to can participate. But because it’s difficult for a committee if people are constantly entering and leaving, we ask that if you’re going to become involved, you do so soon, and that if you’re going to come to some meeting that you try to make a real commitment to doing work for the team.
We looking forward to hearing your feedback throughout this process! For any questions or comments on this post please email Jeff at jscohen@mit.edu.
