Transition Team Meeting #1 (3.8.09) – NEXT: Determining Housemate and Board responsibilities

After our membership kickoff meeting, Moishe/Kavod House set up a Transition Team, open to all members, to help us create structures that will support our community and our growth. The Transition Team just held it’s first meeting this past Sunday, 3/8, when twelve of us gathered to lay out plans for creating a number of structural components over the next six months in an effort to help our community run as smoothly and sustainably as possible. These components include:

* Board election materials (guidelines, timeline, nomination process, etc);
* Accounting materials (funding request processes, accounting, and budget reporting);
* Organizational operating materials (moishe/kavod mission statement and charter, housemate application, selection and orientation guidelines/responsibilities for housemates, board duties, and lay leadership structure)

We are excited about undertaking this process, and look forward to an outcome of improved transparency and structure!! To make this process as effective and relevant as possible, we would love to receive your input and feedback as we move forward. Our next meeting will be on 3/22, and we will be discussing housemate and board responsibilities.
